Another colony had disappeared this week. It wasn't as big a shock as the last one, sure, but it was still... something to think about.

This still weighed heavily on Kaidan's mind, which was why he didn't notice the strange mural on the wall of his office as he came in. By the time he finally looked up at his wall, it had already gone; nothing out of the ordinary, as far as he knew.

He remained distracted as he worked, but at least he was making a spirited attempt to get his syllabus up and running.
